Colours of the Month: August

6 August 2020

This month at Painthouse, we're drawing inspiration from the vibrant colours of the 70's. Dive into a daydream of nostalgia with our August 'Colours of the Month' edit, featuring retro vibes that bring peace and joy to the whole family.

Muted tones of green and mustard yellows paired with vibrant red-oranges and a touch of neutral-pink; this evocative palette is guaranteed to add some groove to your home decor!

A luxuriously mesmerising sea-foam green, Sander is both soothing and calming for the mind, body and soul. Add a touch of our forest green Sienna, pale blue Lars or Arlo for a truly timeless living space. Reading rooms, yoga spaces and offices will instantly become relaxing but motivating havens with the reviving hues of this muted shade.

A fiery and exuberant red-orange, Reggie makes a piquant Paintpal for bisque-tinted Orla and a swirl of Emilia to create a cosy living or dining room. Especially flamboyant when painted onto old wooden furniture and home accessories, Reggie’s bright aura uplifts the darkest of rooms. We love painting the insides of drawers, cupboards and shelves in this exciting shade for a surprise colour pop!

Rich and earthy, our ochre-coloured paint Rufus offers a friendly welcome to guests in hallways, kitchen and dining areas. Rufus is the perfect Paintpal for our coral-pink shade Bea and our gravel-grey Alfie, creating a luxurious colour palette that instantly warms and uplifts. Painting your home in this yellow shade will instantly bring a smile to your face!

Warm, muted and with a slight hint of coral-pink, our contemporary neutral Eddie loves to cosy and cuddle up with our best-selling Bea, Dylan and Busby. Ideal for bedrooms, reading rooms and entrance spaces, Eddie gives the illusion of a wider and brighter room. Complete the look with some vibrant velvet furniture in shades of pink or blue.
